EControl Portal runs on the stable Linux operating system. With basic Linux skills you can easily install EControl Portal in a few minutes and there is no system administration needed. The following Linux distributions are supported:

Server hardware                      

We advice you to select a Linux distribution which is supported on the vendors hardware platform (Compaq, Dell, HP, Sun Cobalt, IBM).  These vendors provide Linux preinstalled on their hardware.
