Monitoring– Extensive monitoring and alerting on the status of network services, SNMP data, Windows syslog events, performance counters and, homemade scripts (Unix/Linux)  to keep track of availability and performance of critical business systems.

Reporting – The EControl Portal report view offers you a snapshot of the system when looking at realtime data or an averaged view over a time window when looking at log view data. The Report view is a great tool for extracting a “big picture” view of a system or pinpointing discrepancies in the system’s capabilities. Report view can be used to extract your baseline if you take the time to take out the peaks and valleys in the log file.

Analysing – EControl Portal stores data in a central repository. Using web-based reporting/graphing you can analyse response times, total system usage or network traffic by type. A drill down feature allows you to analyse the causes of system bottlenecks.
